The Divine Abode of Goddess Renukamba in the Hills.
About Us
The Chandragutti Renukamba Temple, located near Soraba taluk in Shivamogga district, is a revered pilgrimage center dedicated to Goddess Renukamba (Mother of Parashurama).
The temple is set in a cave-like rock formation on a hill, surrounded by dense Malnad forests. The sanctum, carved from natural stone, houses the idol of Goddess Renukamba, and is believed to be the spot where Jamadagni Maharshi’s wife Renuka Devi attained penance.
The temple draws thousands of devotees during the annual Renukamba Jatre (fair), held in March–April (Chaitra Masa), when pilgrims from across Karnataka and neighboring states visit to seek blessings.
