Kodachadri Hill

A Trek to the Abode of the Goddess in the Clouds.

About Us

Kodachadri, located in Hosanagara taluk, Shivamogga district, is one of Karnataka’s most celebrated trekking and pilgrimage destinations. Rising to 1,343 meters (4,406 ft), it is the 10th highest peak in Karnataka, nestled in the Western Ghats and part of the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary.
The hill is renowned for its dense rainforests, rolling grasslands, waterfalls, and panoramic views. At the peak lies the Sarvajna Peetha, a stone structure believed to be where Adi Shankaracharya meditated. It is also associated with Goddess Mookambika, making it both a trekking and spiritual destination.
Kodachadri has been declared a natural heritage site by the Government of Karnataka.
