Varadahalli

A Spiritual Haven in the Malnad Hills.

About Us

Varadahalli, also known as Sri Sridhara Swami Ashram, is a serene spiritual retreat located in Sagara taluk, Shivamogga district. It is dedicated to Sri Sridhara Swamiji (1908–1973), a revered saint, philosopher, and spiritual guide known for his deep devotion, simplicity, and humanitarian values.
The ashram is nestled in the Western Ghats, surrounded by forests and hills, making it a peaceful place for meditation and spiritual reflection. Key features include:

  • Samadhi Mandir (final resting place of Swamiji).
  • Meditation halls and prayer spaces.
  • Annadana (free meals) provided daily to devotees.
  • Sacred steps leading up the hill with inscriptions of Swamiji’s teachings.

Pilgrims and visitors come here not only for religious reasons but also to experience the calm, natural setting of Malnad.
